Manufacturers Description
The Mikelson 64 Sportfisher is a long-range yacht that\'s 64 feet, 9 inches long with a 19-foot, 5-inch beam and a 5-foot draft. Mikelson Yachts builds a limited number of semi-custom yachts for a select group of buyers. Tom Fexas, one of the world\'s finest naval architects, was chosen to design the Mikelson line. In a search for the best builders, Mikelson has selected builders in the United States, Taiwan, and Brazil. Mikelson\'s long history with each of these yacht builders assures the client of precise results, and a timely, on-schedule completion date. Mikelson Yachts has the experience to choose better methods, materials, and components to assure the yacht\'s maximum reliability and longevity. While quality construction is the priority, construction costs are also considered to provide the best possible value. Mikelson draws on client expertise for innovative ideas often overlooked by design teams who don\'t use the products they design. Clients are encouraged to visit their yachts during construction and are welcome to have a marine surveyor inspect the yacht. Some Mikelson models can be built by payment of Letter of Credit at the completion of factory construction, saving construction interest costs normally associated with semi-custom yacht construction.
